I purchased SQL 2012 Developer Edition about a year ago and installed it on my desktop and my laptop.
I used the included license key and registered with MS during both installs
The laptop is creaky, slow, underpowered, and is about to go to laptop heaven. The desktop hard drive will soon be replaced by an SSD.
What process or processes need to be followed to permit me to 1) MOVE the laptop's copy to a new laptop and 2) keep the desktop license/copy but installed on a new drive? Is there an unregister process that goes along with uninstalling software that would permit me to re-register with the same key after the new installs?
