Hi,
after I finally got succesfully migrated ws2003 AD to new 2012r2, everything were running perfectly, until I started to install SQL Server Standard 2014 on that server, only rapid flash of the command window appeared, then nothing. Tried again with "Run as administrator", same flash and nothing... Then I tried to open Server Manager, but got only error, same for all management tools. Then I found that DHCP service is not running, and it doesn't start anymore, actually only thing that is working is folder share and DNS server.
So, emplyees are now able to do their work with static IP addresses (small environment...), but I have to spend whole weekend repairing server. The question is: What the hell went wrong? How is it possible that clicking setup icon on the SQL Server 2014 installation media can cause this total mess?
