Using UA for remediating SQL 2005 objects for SQL 2012

Hi All,

We are planning to come up with the approach for remediating SQL server 2005 objects which are compatible for SQL 2012

  1. Run UA on SQL 2005 using target as SQL 2012
  2. UA report will give us breaking/discontinued changes which needs to be remediated
  3. We would fix these breaking/discontinued changes and create new/modified SQL scripts
  4. Run UA again on SQL 2005 using target as SQL 2012 to ensure there are no more breaking changes
  5. Remediated scripts will be delivered to the client which they would eventually upgrade to SQL 2012

I just wanted to check if the above approach is fine and do I need consider any other important points which I am missing here to ensure smooth upgrade/migration of SQL 2005 databases to SQL 2012.

Please do let me know....Thanks.
