Here before, we were using datacentre's services to host our application and data. SAP B1 to be precise.
Now we want to have a server in our premises and move entire application and data.
Our datacentre informed us that our current database is 2008 R2 Enterprise and the size is approximately 1 GB only. They also informed that we will have to go in for Enterprise edition only.
After going through various online resources on Microsoft website, I concluded that Express Edition is more than enough for our purpose.
Could anyone guide us through the steps to be taken to downgrade 2008 R2 Enterprise Database to Express Edition?
Any official support is available for the same?
What precautions and post conversion validation tests to be taken in this behalf?
