Hi
Our current setup contains 3 X Windows 2016 STD / SQL 2016 STD in Windows failover cluster with 3 SQL instances. We are preparing 2 X Windows 2016 STD / SQL 2016 ENT in SQL Always on Availability Group. With Always on AG how can we prepare 3 SQL instances (it's due to business requirements to have 3 SQL instances with each instance hosting DBs owned by different teams with different requirements). Always on Availability group is a new concept for us and failed to get any support document to prepare multiple instances with AON AG.
We are planning to go with below configuration, please let us know whether it's supported
Node1 : Named instances: SQLI1, SQLI2
Node2 : Named instances: - SQLI3,SQLI4
Availability Group :A1,AG2
Replicas of AG1: SQLI1, SQLI3 (Primary on Node1)
Replicas of AG2: SQLI4, SQLI2 (Primary on Node2)
Thanks in advance
LMS
