I have SQL Server 2012 and the following have been added to my PC's search path:
- C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\
- C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\Binn\
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\ManagementStudio\
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DTS\Binn\
Can I request Microsoft to stop this bad habit. It chokes up the search path with more than 200 characters making it unreadable and unmanageable. It affects the performance of the PC as five more folders have to be opened and searched every time. And it increases the security vulnerability.
Programs are configured on the Start menu, and additional things that programs need should be within their configuration files and not globally published.
Thanks.
